Happy first day of spring! As loyal customers and followers, I want to give y’all a little more of an inside look at our move. First, I want to apologize for me being kind of MIA, I am 17 weeks pregnant (today). I have been feeling sick, tired, and not like myself, pretty much since week 6 of pregnancy. I’m finally feeling a little bit better or maybe I’m just used to it now.
Moving on! So, here’s a little background on where and why we are moving. As some of you may or may not know, my husband owns a company that imports Brazilian spirits. That company is currently building a distillery here, in Danville, KY. We are close to completion and the address is 552 Techwood Dr, Danville, KY 40422. I’m planning on doing a video tour on Thursday morning to give everyone a sneak peek!
That was the where, here is the why… Vestiary has gone through a lot of changes over the past 4 years. Naturally, with the times, online sales have increased and the in-store foot traffic has decreased. Can’t blame anyone, I love online shopping- it’s too easy, especially at 2 am when you’re up feeding a newborn or in line at carpool or it snowed 8 inches and there’s no way you are leaving the house, etc. I am so thankful that I have a semi-successful online business, without that income Vestiary would no longer exist. So, thank you all for continuing to support us. Anyway, moving locations takes away a lot of the overhead costs of having a brick and mortar and being the sole occupant. Taking away those extra costs (building insurance, utilities, etc.) we will be able to put that revenue toward our online site and Instagram content (yay). Also, in our new location, we will be able to offer a different kind of shopping experience for our customers that I am so excited about. You will be able to eat, drink, and shop all in one spot. How great is that?
I was hesitant to make this change because I love downtown Danville so much. I believe in downtown and the businesses that help make it thrive. I have become friends with many of the business owners and Nick Wade, the director of Heart of Danville and I’m so lucky to have formed those friendships through owning Vestiary. At the end of the day, I had to make the decision that was right for my growing family. But, that doesn’t mean that I will be frequenting downtown any less. All of my favorite parts of Danville are located in that amazingly charming area of town. Rumors are just that- rumors! But, being in a small town y’all know how they spread. Know, that Ambrabev (The Still, Espirito XVI, & Boteco) and I love downtown Danville and we would never try to “steal” people or places from that area. We are an open book, if you have ANY questions, I am happy to answer them. Email me. email@example.com.
While we get ready to move, we are liquidating a lot of the inventory and fixtures. Be sure to check Instagram for the latest in what we are selling. While exciting, this is also something that takes a little bit of time, so thank you for bearing with us as we get everything started. On to bigger and better things!!!
